Yes, you read it correctly Tesla is all set to launch in India. It is planning to come to India for its model 3. It will start the booking of Model 3 Sedan from next month in India and will expect delivery by 2021 June. This model 3 is the most affordable car by tesla ever build and, has been a runaway success for the electric vehicle pioneer. In fact, it has been introduced as a volume bagger to attract price-conscious buyers to the Tesla fold.

Elon Musk(Founder and CEO of Tesla Inc) has confirmed the news in the country. He had first declared his intentions about entering the Indian market in 2016. Tesla started accepting bookings in that year but due to some EV policies and import duties, the launch has been delayed in the country.

Apart from this, Tesla is planning to open a plant in India. If it happens it will create jobs and lots of people will get employed.

The Tesla Model 3 price is expected to start around Rs 55 lakh. The Model 3 is the Most Affordable Electric car produced by Tesla, even though it faced issues in the beginning but now it is running fluently and smoothly.

It would be possible If Tesla opens a factory in India, and produces electric cars here, prices for the model 3 could drop to about Rs 30 lakh.

Tesla's Model 3 features a driving range of about 500 km on a single charge, depending upon the variant. It also has good performance figures from 0 to 100km/hr acceleration of about 3.5 seconds. The Model 3 bookings will be started from next month in India and delivery is expected to begin by June 2021.

・range up to 500km 

・kerb weights from 1,611kgs for the base trim to 1,847 kgs from the top-end brim

・base trim is powered by an electric motor that puts on 283 Bhp of peak power

・base variant of model 3 can accelerate up to 100km/hr in about 4 seconds

・top speed is about 210 kph

・battery stack takes about 6-6.5 hrs to get fully charged, while the fast charger can juice up the battery     to 80% in about 30 minutes
