India successfully test-fired a MRSAM from Odisha coast on 24th December

 

India on 24th Dec successfully test-fired the Army version of Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile(MRSAM).

Defense sources: "The missile was test-fired from a ground launcher pad-1 of the ITR near Balasore in Odisha around 3:50Pm and hit the target with excellent accuracy"

This Medium-Range surface-to-Air Missile has been manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Ltd.

DRDO has achieved a major milestone with the maiden launch of MRSAM from ITR(Integrated Test Range), Odisha.

It has been developed to neutralize airborne threats like combat jets, missiles, and rockets. After its inclusion in the Indian army, it will definitely increase the combat effectiveness of the Defence forces.

The entire Trajectory of the missile was monitored by the various radars and machines, from its launch from the launch pad till its plunging into the sea-confirmed by the sources.

This Indo-Israeli SAM system will be enhancing our capability in defending Indian airspace.
